Travis Sauter Announces 2009 Plans

I wanted to update everybody on my plans for this year. For 2009 we have a brand new race car. I worked on it pretty much full time this winter and I have to say it’s one of the nicest cars I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately I don’t have the funding in place to run the full ASA Midwest Tour schedule. In fact, I really don’t have the funding to go to the first race. I’m at the point in my racing career that I don’t go to the racetrack just to be there. If I go, I go with the intention of winning, and that’s just not possible without proper funding. Racing is not a hobby for me, I take it very seriously, so if I can’t win it’s not fun. With that said I am talking with people every day about sponsoring the car on a per event basis. Obviously it’s difficult to find help, but I’m not going to give up. I know what it takes to win these races, and I know this new car is very capable, I’m just looking for some help along the way. I have a schedule posted on my website of races that I’m interested in running, hopefully we can make to most of them. I guess we’ll have to see what happens with the sponsorship hunt. Thank you to Cranberry Creek Cranberries, B&B Racing Engines, and Wehrs Machine for all of the help with the new car. Without you the shop would be empty.
