Driver Bio I Travis Sauter
Travis Sauter grew up in Central Wisconsin with the strong desire to follow in the footsteps of the Sauter men before him. Like his grandfather, Jim, a former Winston Cup and IROC test driver, his uncles, Johnny and Jay, and his father Tim, all three NASCAR drivers, Travis has the determination and the talent to achieve success.
Travis began racing in late 2002 in a Street Stock car at what is now called Dells Raceway Park. It didnít take him long to find success on the track and by the end of 2003 he had won 4 races and had already scored fast time his Super Late Model debut.
From 2004 to 2006, Travis captured 7 wins, 25 top 5ís, and 30 top ten finishes in 40 starts. In 2006, he narrowly missed the track championship at Madison International Speedway, leading the points the entire season, before a flat tire in the season finale left him 6 points short.
Since 2007 Travis has run many ARCA Midwest Tour races along with other special events. In 53 ARCAMT starts he has 5 wins, 2 fast times, 19 top 5ís and 31 top 10ís. In 2009, 2011, and 2012 Travis won the prestigious Oktoberfest 100 at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway. In 2012 he also won the inaugural Howie Lettow Memorial 150 at the Milwaukee Mile in an event that drew 80 entries including NASCAR stars Rusty Wallace and Matt Kenseth. In 2012 Travis won 7 out of 12 races he ran.
Away from racing Travis enjoys sports, movies, and spending time with his wife, Amber and their children Reid and Lucy.
