Travis ran the Joe Shear Classic 100 ARCA Midwest Tour race at Madison International Speedway on May 3rd. He qualified 7th and started the feature 4th. After a couple unlucky lane choices he fought from 7th to 2nd over the course of the race, and came up just short at the end finishing 2nd to his uncle Johnny.
“It was another good run for us. I’m disappointed with second, so that tells you a lot about where this team is at mentally. I thought I maybe had a little better car at the end, but the race did not play out in our favor and I really had to use a lot of the car up to try to run him down. I would have liked to see a caution at some point, but that’s the way it goes. It’s been a good start to the year and we will work hard to keep it going.
